Botched-up desolder and (unrelated?) image issues

Post by Fabrizio »

I botched up my first attempt at desoldering ram chips on a C64 was, which I fixed with a bridge (see attached picture) which, for space reasons, skipped one ram chip.
ALL diagnostic RAM tests are OK and I have no instability or unexpected crashes.

I have now realized I have some minor image issues that are only apparent in some games (e.g., Wizard of Wor and Giana Sisters):
sometimes some characters appear with flickering wrongly colors on some lines.
Could this be related to the RAM bridge? Is it instead a PLA issue? Any other chip?

In Wizard of Wor I get these weird flickering colors. So far I have not found a single game that crashes.

Remark: COLOR RAM TESTS PASSED.
