I was still annoyed by the heat coming off the 7805, so I experimented with one of these in a "beater" C64 that still has a 6567.Gyro Gearloose wrote:You can also swap out the linear regulators and replace them with drop-in switchers. Those old linear regulators sure got hot.
Video looks very nice and sound seems to work fine. If nothing goes 'splodey then I'll put one in my "hot rod".
