Not the slim, but I have a black cased HxC I have used with my Amiga 500. I purchased it from lotharek.pl

Here is the one I've used: http://lotharek.pl/product.php?pid=18

I belive the slim would fit nicely inside the A500. I was just using the black cased HxC as a temporary measure before I got my ACA500. I used it to boot Workbench 1.3 and then to make a copy on a 3.5" disk. I just popped open the A500 case and plugged it up with the floppy ribbon cable until I was done. Normally I use it with my TRS-80 and then I have another for my Atari 800.

I would recommend both the HxC and Lotharek.

I forgot to mention one caveat, although personally don't consider it a big deal. The HxC needs the files converted to a certain format before you copy them to the SD card. There is software you install on your PC to accomplish this. You just put all your ADFs or other format files in a directory HxC knows about and then you can batch convert the entire folder. Then just copy the files over to the SD card.

Just thought I would mention that. It's not like the ACA500 where you just copy ADFs to your CF card.

Yes, the .hde file format or whatever - I've seen that and I believe they provide a download link to the software for you to do this... :)
