I'm working to separating the highscore site from cbm8bit and placing it on another host under a different domain name, i will be redirecting the original link of cause for a year or so but eventually i hope to have the highscores project as a standalone project with a few moderators to help. cbm8bit has become very complicated this will allow for more updates and less testing how one project affects another this will be the case for most projects. I would be open to a new name as well if we can all agree on one?

http://retroscore.com will be the domain then we just need a name for the site.

Shane.

The redirect that has been in place is not working. https://cbm8bit.com/highscores/home/c64 is the main url. :)

I moved to another server provider and have been flat over the past few days and nights re-configuring the sites and domains i host.

This was to take advantage of five year deal i was offered by another provider meaning all our projects are now paid up for five years, a bit of hit to the pocket but the over all savings going forward makes it worth the heart ache and pain now compared to the $89 US a month for the service i had with zenx5ive unfortunately they could not match the deal offered, this was a last minute decision so it was all moved without preparation the move has gone without any real hitches and very little downtime for the sites and domains hosted.

I have several days off and was planning on going away but this has thrown a spanner in my plans, this may give me some extra time to spend on http://retroscores.com as mentioned i wish to extract the scores project from cbm8bit not an easy task i can tell you and make it a stand alone site this would allow me to welcome others to help code it without effecting the stability of the other projects on cbm8bit that are closely interwoven into the sites code. I wish to have a much more arcade like home page for the site and not a utility like theme that cbm8bit has.

I'm hoping to have all sites reconfigured and moved over by tomorrow and start on chasing any bugs down next. :) I'm paid up till the 17th so this would be a hard deadline less i pay for another month at the cost of $89, i will miss zenx5ive there a great company their support is second to none. I have been with zenx5ive for several years and the deal i had was very good for a dedicated server however the US$ against the AU$ :(

Notice any bugs let me know.

Cheers
Shane.

If you wondered why I'd been so quiet, My home PC is sick, Hopefully I'll be able to fix it soon-ish, And you'll see some new scores. :)
