Commodore.tk: Resources for the NTSC C64r
I've launched a new website tonight: http://www.commodore.tk
It's the start of a resource site for NTSC C64 users. It's targeted at folks who use actual North American hardware.
There is just a taste of what is planned for the site over the next few weeks.
I've got a good deal of material that will be added as well as expansion of the database of software, tested working on real NTSC hardware.

I like this. It seems to be hard to find a proper list of working games.

Re: Commodore.tk: Resources for the NTSC C64r
Thank you for the encouragement!
I'll be doing some work on the "look" of the site over the weekend as well as adding some more programs.
I'm thinking I might point a forum link in this direction. This forum seems very non-intimidating compared to some others.
Are there enough NTSC users already here that wouldn't mind a few more? Melon?

Re: Commodore.tk: Resources for the NTSC C64r
I've started pulling games from the "Blast64" collection for testing next.
IIRC, the Blast collection is NTSC compatible, but in keeping with my goal, each one will be tested before being listed.
For every decent game title on the 64, there are about 10 completely worthless ones, so I've created sort of a game rating scale and anything that falls below a 5 won't make the list, as least for now. I'm honestly shocked by how low the NTSC support really is. Back in the day, I kept the backup library for a SW Florida group, and I remember having quite the disk collection.
I'm "almost" happy with my current site design, as I spent some more time on it last night. As soon as I get around 100 titles, I'll start splitting the games into alphabetised sections.
Most testing and additions slated for this weekend.

Our search projects simply finds files, using the keyword ntsc you will find hundreds of ntsc files. Once you finished with blast64 or have a enquiry for a game i would look there.http://cbm8bit.com/8bit/commodore/search?query=ntsc and include the game name.
Web Search: http://cbm8bit.com/websearch/8bit/commo ... query=ntsc ntsc will return thousands of results as it's a popular word so it should be used along side other keywords ie http://cbm8bit.com/websearch/8bit/commo ... +RESOURCES
File Search: http://cbm8bit.com/8bit/commodore/search?query=ntsc
Disk Image Search: http://cbm8bit.com/8bit/commodore/disk- ... query=ntsc
The disk images search is not used as much as the other two projects, i think it's because most don't relise how powerful it is or what it actually does, it looks inside disk images like .d64 etc and finds any files with the keyword your using we have indexed 175,667 disk images to date.
Good luck
Shane.

Re: Commodore.tk: Resources for the NTSC C64r
I run out of time editing my post above but would like to add.
Were working on a free embedded web search similar to the embedded file search we use on http://arnold.c64.org/ to find files on the FTP site from the HTTP site. This will be a simple iframe hopefully something to think about adding it will look the same but return web pages in the results like other search addons.
