Videos and photos from CommVEx 2019

Post by RobertB »

Posted last night, here is the first from August 10-11 Commodore Vegas Expo v15. Premiering at the show, it is long-lost video from 2001 of engineer Jeri Ellsworth talking about the CommodoreOne and scener Peter Hanson talking about the European C= scene, especially about the Plus/4. It was filmed at an UPCHUG (University Place Commodore Home User Group) meeting in the public library in Tacoma, Washington.

Nice to see the face of Jeri Ellsworth. Haven't heard of her in a long time.

She was in the CommVEx 2019 commercial (photos of her at past CommVExes and a new video clip of her at the end of the commercial).

Another long-lost video released at the August 10-11 Commodore Vegas Expo. It is scener Peter Hanson visiting Amiga, Inc. headquarters back in 2001. Just a few minutes long, this video also has the late Gary Peake and in the distance, the Amiga bus!

Cool videos! It was nice to meet you guys in person. I would have liked to spend more than an hour or so, but I got stuck taking a family member a little bit outside of Vegas and couldn't get back until after 5. It was nice to see it and talk to you guys, though. Coincidence that I happened to be there on Sunday and I was happy when I saw the table in the Plaza. Keep up the good work!

Now we have 2 more videos on-line! Saj Awan had a mini-presentation showing what he had on his exhibit tables -- PETpix 2, Koalamin, and the Incredible Musical Keyboard -- all running on the Commodore 64. Matt Brewster spoke about the MiST FPGA box and showed it running Amiga emulation. See

In 2009, Commodore Business Machines engineer Dave Haynie visited the Commodore Vegas Expo. He came in during the Friday set-up, stayed with us throughout Saturday and Sunday, and as we were taking down the equipment on Sunday night, he gave us an impromptu jamming session on his guitar! Here is video taken of that concert, a video that premiered at this year's CommVEx.

The CommVEx videos being uploaded keep rolling in! Two more have been posted, Lenard Roach speaking about his C64 productivity programs and his latest book, "Run-Stop/Restore," and Matt Brewster giving an introductory class on the Video Toaster 4.2 running on an expanded Amiga 2000. See
