I'll do what I can to copy relevant info to the CCC, though I also encourage people to join and actively participate.
The prime purpose of the CCC is active, interactive, and live collaboration between those with information to share and those with projects to complete.

Re: Providing service to the Commodore community and the consequences
There certainly is a pack of old boys club wolves that seem to do nothing but circle the forums looking for someone to pounce on. Often unprovoked, th…login to view the rest of this post

I don't completely understand why people have an issue with Google. If the point is to avoid them out of some sort of Orwellian fear of their data col…login to view the rest of this post

Re: Disk imaging from real drive to 1541 UII?
It just seems odd to me that this wouldn't be a core functionality of the 1541 UII. In which case it should be both simple to perform, and obvious how to do so. For example, you should have a "one button" copy function that simply asks you from where to where, and if the destination is the...

Re: Disk imaging from real drive to 1541 UII?
Perfect, thanks guys. I've been trying to copy the program side of my alignment disk to my 1541 UII so I can load it from there, that way I don't have to have 2 physical floppies hooked up when I'm aligning drives. I can load from the UII, and use the other side of the disk in the bad drive while I ...

Disk imaging from real drive to 1541 UII?
Can you directly copy real floppy disks from a real drive (eg. 1541, 1571, etc.) to the 1541 Ultimate II? In other words, it ends up as a D64 or other file on the SD-Card? I tried using the disk copy function in the included SuperSnapshot cartridge, but while I can choose the 1541 UII drive as a des...

Re: Commodore 64 Remake
Good grief people, he's completely up front (if you bother to read) about what this Kickstarter is about and what the rewards situation is and why. This is not only OK, but actually what Kickstarter is for. Raising startup funds. You don't HAVE to give rewards consisting of the device being funded, ...

You can bet all the "experts" over on REMOVED will crawl out of the woodwork to say why this can't/shouldn't be done.

Re: Windows 10 downloaded to computers automatically
I am, and I have been railing on them in relevant forums and social media. Windows 10 in general is an egregious assault on consumers. It utterly disregards their wishes and their privacy. Professionally I have strongly advised my customers to hold on any upgrades to Windows 10 until at least next f...
