I was beeping out the PCB to see what connects where, I found that having the pinouts of the chips right there next to the drive to be much quicker than constantly referring to the computer for separate datasheets.
So I slapped some pinouts together into one page. It was pretty handy, especially for scribbling right on it too.

Turns out you can use ChipQuik with through hole parts although I've never done it. It might be something to investigate after all! Thanks!
