Ray Carlsen is also selling very well made Power supplies for Commodore computers, including the C-64, C-128, +4, and drives.

These power supplies are available now, and will save you computer from the horrors of the old brick PSUs

This is a Public Service announcement

I also make and sell power supplies for Commodore 8 bit computers and drives.

I simply don't have a specific model as I always custom make them specifically for the customer's needs and budget.

The smallest being around 15 watts for the C64 alone and the most powerful up to 230 watts.

I thought you might offer these too, but didn't know for sure until now. Right now my C-64 is in good shape thanks to a 1764 REU I found recently that included the PSU - all brand new, in the box. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commodore ... 64_REU.jpg

@motrucker
Did you know its actually very easy to double the capacity of your 1764?

Inside is exactly the same board as a 1750 with 8 sockets for 41256 DRAM chips empty.

YES your power supply can take it.

Ahead of you there. The first thing I did was bump the 1764 to 512Kb. Now it's up to 2Mb, for use in Geos, CP/M and several 128 graphics programs I use

I just found this, designed by Ray Carlsen (according to this site). Not a power supply but a system saver:
http://console5.com/wiki/Commodore_64_Power_Saver This is different from the units that Mr Carlsen sell on his web site, but still may make a good DIY project.
