Eslapion, now it's time for your C64II PLA because Matthias from Forum64 is working on a C64 Tuning Bord based on the PLA form the 250469. Both PLAs version are working on the tuning board. The first prototype is working, he's working on the Rev2 board now :).
So, therefore we need the big PLA replacement from eslapion asap :)

You can check it out C64 Tuning Board (F64 Account needed).

Matthias allowed me to share the information of the C64 tuning board here.

Rev 1 prototype:

- “Tuning” placeholder: Here you can place an Arduino or another board with a socket strip to implement functions (OSD, keyboard mapper, midi, lights, ...)
- 3 x I2C Ports with SDA/SCL pullup resistors (for RTC, Radio, Accelerometer, …)
- Tripple SID Sockets (3x 6581 and/or 8580) and 12V/9V and Stereo L/R Jumpers
- Ready for use 3x “BEAUTIFUL QUAD” SID (12 SIDs = 36 Voices)
- Optional 8580 Digifix (Jumper)
- Pin pins on the board: A5, A8, IO1, IO2, A6, A7 for SID cables
- 2 x 2 Pin pins for Soft and Hard Reset Button (HF Modulator Case Loch)
- New video circuit for composite and S-video out
- Standard RF modulator connector pins (2x 4 pins) to install your own modulator / video box (half height)
- Power Input 5V ohne Regulator, oder Power Input 7,5-12V mit 5V regulator max. 3A
- Enough space for Textool IC socket
- Many measuring points (AEC, BA, PHI, TOD, ...) 1.3mm holes (scope friendly)
- Kernel / Basic ROM Switch for 1: 1 pin compatible AT28C256 32K EEproms
- Usable VIC II 656x / 856x chips with 12V / 5V jumper
- NE555 for 50/60 Hz TOD pulses (adjustable with potentiometer)
- POTX / Y pins of 2nd gameport removed (mouse only on port 1)
- Possible external user port ~ 9V supply via 2 pins or 9V DC with 2 jumpers
- Mixed EMC protection from C64 I and II
- Prepared for 8701, SRAM Dual Socket Adapter, SID Replicas
- Placeholder for 8701 Replacement: SI5351 Breakout Board (€ 7)
- Two placeholders for 5V power input regulators
- Power LED connections on both sides of the board (L / R)
- Power consumption approx. ~ 4 watts (5V / 760mA)

Rev 2 changes:

- Optional stripe fix
- Tuning 64 "HAT" Socket
- Userport + Tape Port Pins fixed
- Video socket pins corrected
- Automatically assigned address for SID I und SID II + IO1/2 Jumper for SID III
- SID Digifix and Filter Jumper
- 2nd audio channel on pin 5/7 of the video socket can be switched by jumper
- TOD with exact 50/60Hz
- More Pins (CS: CIA1/2, VIC, SID)
- Drill holes for ZIF Socket now 1.0mm
- Holes for screws placed in the correct position (were slightly offset)
- And many other small optimizations

So you're still working on the MEGAplankton, great. What do you expect, is there hope for it this year?

I honestly have no clue. I recently tested a prototype and expected it to work immediately. It totally crapped out on me.

Your question is like asking how many tries does it take to get a pair of 6 when you throw 2 dices. Your guess is as good as any.
