Yes, I understand... for some people, retromputing is better called herdware... ;)

It's more of an attention-deficit thing.... When you read back your own post and my reply, you assumed that I read your entire post in one sitting with 100% attention, the reality is that I read the subject, then I ran to the closet to get the 64C, then I got hungry, then I put the 64C thing in my meat bookmark (aka brain), then I went to the IGA, then I came back and cooked mushroom fettuccine in a cream and tarragon reduction.
Then I looked at the 64C again, then I started googling, then I remembered your post, then I read only the subject again, and I typed my "informative" reply.
Oh yeah, mushrooms are on special this week at IGA.

Any updates on this project? Is it still in the works, or has it been abandoned?

It is not abandoned but priority is given to projects where customers show a lot of interest.

While less than half a dozen people indicated they may buy a Mega-PLAnkton, I have sold 9 SuRuMan-VDC in the last 2 weeks.

Mega-PLAnkton is a complex project comparatively so the price tag would be much higher. This amounts to a small customer base and big development costs. Not very good to get a project going faster.

GandALF is a more complex project which was very expensive and I have sold less than 50 units... lesson learned.

Completely understandable. Still, if and when the project is finished, sign me up for one!

This product doesn't exist yet. It's still possible to find replacement units on eBay.
