C64 With a pink screen

Post by cavancullen »

HI, My c64 has one block of pink when ever powered on. With a single line at the top of a darker pink.

I have changed the PLA chip and swapped the two CIA chips to no avail.

I am not sure what else to do. I have also changed the electrolytic capacitors to the same outcome.

The PSU has been put though my multimeter and outputted the correct 9.8vac and 5.4v DC

Please help!

5.4v seems a bit high. Where are you measuring this?

He's probably either fixed it or sold it by now.

EDIT: Yeah, on the "other" board. Bad RAM.
