Just a thought.
If the Sidekick will run a 65c02 or 65816 core then yes, it will be useful. Even running a 65c02 at 1Mhz could potentially mean more performant programs *as long as* the extended instructions are used and are more useful to your program than the undocumented instructions on the 6510 (for instance, being able to store zero anywhere, rather than having to LOAD the accumulator, X or Y with zero first saves two bytes and therefore a few cycles).
