Old drives too, the SFD-1001's mechanism has leaky caps on the motor driver PCB.

Very interesting.

I wonder if it's possible to do this technique to capacitors in circuit.
For example with some type of 3d printed harnesses that just contacts the capacitor on the backside of the PCB board.
