CBM prg Studio
CBM prg Studio
I'm pleased to announce the release of CBM prg Studio v3.0.0. The main new feature in this version is support for the 65816 processor, both in the assembler and debugger. This was a large piece of work which is why there has been a much longer wait than usual. Non-65816 fans haven't been ignored and there are other new features too, including:
* Some support for the VICE debugger (transfer of labels and breakpoints),
* Bitmap import/export for character editor,
* Binary file import to Assembly source,
* Line and rectangle drawing tools for the screen designer,
* TASM support added to Source Converter tool.
Also there's a ton of bug fixes from v2.9.0, see my website for details.
As usual, many thanks to the beta testers, bug reporters and donators who helped with this release.
And last but not least, I want to thank our very own Satpro for all the help and support he's given with this release. The 65816 additions certainly wouldn't have happened without him and he's shown great patience putting up with my noob questions, cheers Bert!
You can download it by following the link in my sig. Enjoy!

Re: CBM prg Studio
Thank you, Arthur. Nice post overall. How in the world did you figure out TASM support?
Re: CBM prg Studio
You're welcome! It's only a minimal tasm file conversion, turning .byte into byte, .word into word etc. It's won't be a 100% conversion but it does take the donkey work out of it. As for the upload, CPS is already compressed and it's 3.3Meg.

Oh goody! Will try out post-hate.
Re: CBM prg Studio
Oh, man, I forgot it was that large. Do you have WinRar? It can split files for cases like this. That would be about a dozen files, though.ajordison wrote:You're welcome! Re: CBM prg Studio
Thanks for the change to the character export dialog! (I requested that over on REMOVED under my alter ego, qaz112) Works like a charm. Cheers!
Re: CBM prg Studio
No problem, glad it works as expected.

65816 Macros for CBM prg Studio
Here are the 65816 macros which were posted in Assembly/64Tass, converted and ready for use in CBM prg Studio. You might have to clean up the layout to fit your programming style, but using the macros will make life easier. More to come.
Congratulations on CBM prg Studio Version 3.0!
One of my friends loves your program and uses it all the time! He sent this in appreciation (he's a big fan but didn't have your email), so I thought I would just post it here.
Enjoy...
